Severity: Moderate
Adverse Effects:
Cough, hyperkalemia, dizziness, rare angioedema
Contraindications:
Pregnancy, bilateral renal artery stenosis, prior ACE-inhibitor–induced angioedema
When pregnancy is detected, discontinue ACEON as soon as
possible.
Drugs that act directly on the renin-angiotensin system can cause
injury and death to the developing fetus.
Precautions:
Monitor renal function and potassium; preferred in CAD for vascular remodeling benefits
